than 30 years, Jacob George is a prominent journalist in South India and a well known television personality in the state of Kerala, India. He started his career with the Mathrubhumi daily and later moved on to India Today. He was the president of the Kerala Union of Working Journalists (KUWJ), the only organization of the journalists’ community in the state, for three years from 1998. He was the Vice president, Corporate Communication of Sami Labs Limited, Bangalore, a multinational entity which is into research, manufacturing and marketing of nutraceuticals and cosmeceuticals. Its global marketing arm is Sabinsa Corporation, New Jersey. At present, he is the Chief Editor of The Health Café, a national magazine on health and wellness. Jacob is also conducting a high profile weekly programme Vattamesa (Round Table), a discussion forum that goes deep into various political, social, academic and cultural issues, in prominent Malayalam channel, Kairali TV and its news channel, People TV.
He has an MA in English Literature and MJ (Master’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communication), both from the University of Kerala. He has a special interest in the study of Broadcast Voice and has a passion for Mass Communication and the Science of Image Building and Reputation Management.
Joe A Scaria

Joe A Scaria is a journalist, speaker and trainer. He has a wide experience over nearly three decades with the top media companies and corporates in the country, including The Indian Express and The Economic Times.
He graduated in commerce from the Kerala University, and is an MBA with specialization in Marketing.
Scaria began his career as a Sub Editor with the Indian Express in Kochi in 1984. He then moved to Mumbai, where he was Product Manager with Murphy India Ltd of the RPG group, and Business Manager with Magna Publishing Co, Mumbai.
His longest stint was with The Economic Times, part of the Bennett Coleman & Co Ltd which publishes The Times of India. His last assignment with ET, where he worked for 18 years, was as Senior Assistant Editor, Chennai. During his 29-year career, Scaria has worked in Kochi, Mumbai, Coimbatore, Trivandrum and Chennai.
He is a faculty member at the Thiruvananthapuram Press Club, and a visiting faculty at the Institute of Journalism of the Press Academy in Kochi. He also gives corporate lectures and does training sessions for educational institutions and corporates.
Scaria recently published his autobiography, titled 'Fourth Estate to Rubber Estate Resignation letter of a journalist after a 28-year career'. The book, published by Poorna Publications, was released by Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy and former Ambassador to the US, TP Sreenivasan in Trivandrum.

venture is BasilGregory Software Labs Pvt Ltd, a software product company based in Trivandrum, where he is a cofounder and director.
Robin is also a member of Board of Directors at Santhwana Hospitals Pvt Ltd, Trivandrum and Revu Cloud Services Pvt Ltd, Bangalore. He is a Bachelor in Technology in Electronics Engineering from Cochin University of Science & Technology. He is an active volunteer and director for Kerala Startups Society, a not for profit organisation working towards the objective of building a vibrant startup ecosystem in Kerala.
